ELENA MARCHESCHI

Born in Pisa, Italy in 1975.  She studied cinema and video art at Pisa University.

After a master degree in Media Science and Technology in Pavia University, with some experiences in TV network too, is now a Ph.D. candidate at Pisa University, Arts Department . She has been working in contemporary arts’ field with some collaborations for exhibitions and events in Tuscany and for cultural institutions and associations. She is now  collaborating  with  Invideo Festival – International Exhibition of Video and Cinema Beyond - based in Milan  since 1990 - as programmer and curator of the catalogue. Researcher, lecturer (and voyager), she has published some essays about videoart in books and reviews (in Italy for “Duellanti”, “Predella”, in Canada for “Les Fleurs du Mal”) and as journalist  she writes about contemporary art, media arts and film festivals for the daily newspaper il manifesto.
