NEKROTZAR – Chasing the Rainbow

«Nekrotzar is part of a series of pieces called Compendium, namely live musical performances and elements, such as video or painting, reflecting a specific knowledge. Compendium K (the K stands for Stanley Kubrick) puts together soundscapes, live music performance and a video with a fixed duration and narrative, a montage of footage from various sources and with very few original shots, but even so, it is not a montage-film - it's not by any means a film. Matias Guerra (Santiago, Chile 1973) has lived in Quito, London and Rome, now resident in Milan. Besides his activity as a visual artist, he is deeply interested in electronic, experimental and improvised music, playing electric guitar as main instrument. He has collaborated with several associations as painter, organizer or promoter, prioritizing collective and self-sustained projects. Since 2008 he collaborates with La Camera Verde, Rome.
