FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DU COURT METRAGE, CLERMONT – FERRAND
The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival was created 38 years ago. It is now considered as the most important event in the world dedicated to short film. In terms of audience and professional attendance, it is the second largest film festival in France, just after Cannes. Every year, the Festival holds at the beginning of February and during 8 days, it presents 3 competitions (national, international and Labo), different retrospectives, special programs for the young public. Every year INVIDEO draws ideas and finds works from this Festival. Georges Bollon, one of the its founders, will illustrate the Festival and a selection of recent works.
Georges Bollon (1952) during his University studies in Clermont-Ferrand, created the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival with other students in 1979. He is still a member of the festival team, which is still working as a collective group without a leader.
