Cristina Diana Seresini’s expanded animation - Between video art and commercial design
The warmth of the drawing by hand, the attentive photography of live-action filming, the old preference for images produced using the rotoscoping technique or mounted with the stop-motion technique, the creative use of photography and the retrieval of found footage sequences: there is all this and more in the work of Cristina Diana Seresini (1973, Milan), an internationally established animator and artist. Her many gifts include her creative talent in eclectically and harmoniously merging old and new techniques, with a protean versatility that remains in step with and anticipates the aesthetic of the times, without sacrificing vintage touches.
Cristina Diana Seresini is greatly in demand by the cinema and television, she has created dozens of credits of films, advertising graphics and creative credits (for example her collaboration with Alina Marazzi, Silvio Soldini and Massimo Venier), as well as making her evocative short art films such as L'audioguida and Fuorifuoco which have won awards at the festivals of Turin, Annecy, Berlin and New York.
