Olivetti architecture narrated by Alberto Signetto
In this work, which accompanies the tribute paid by INVIDEO to the memory of Alberto Signetto, with the recent video-portrait by Marilena Moretti, the author offers a journey through all the Olivetti factories in Ivrea: the application of Adriano Olivetti’s community theories to the quest for the ideal fusion between the sociological approach and town-planning design, conceived and built together with some of the greatest Italian rationalist architects.
Alberto Signetto (Córdoba, Argentina, 1954), who died in 2014, was involved in the cinema and communication from 1970 and worked as a director from 1982. He started to produce his more experimental work with his RED RHINO PRODUCTIONS. He also collaborated, as assistant director, with Theo Anghelopoulos and other great masters of the cinema. He made many documentaries.
