AMICI DI CINEMA SENZA BARRIERE® PRIZE 2011
Cinema without Barriers ® has instituted in 2011 the "Friend of Cinema without Barriers ®" Prize created as award to personalities or organizations who have excelled over the years for the considerable support given to the project.
Culture and Cinema are, like water, a primary need for everyone. Year after year, film after film, we work for a true integration of all the public. The prize is an award for the social engagement and a symbolic thanks to audiovisual professionals who have excelled in supporting our initiative - Romano Fattorossi, President of A.I.A.C.E. Milano.
On 14 June 2011 at the Alda Merini Hall of Spazio Oberdan - Milano, during the screening of The King's Speech by Tom Hooper, winner of four Oscar, the "Friend of Cinema without Barriers ®" Prize was given to the film distributor Warner Bros Pictures Italy, that, over the years, has provided the Festival the largest number of films (twelve).
The Genral Director Nicola Maccanico withdrew the Prize, a special edition of the photography Genetically Modified Red Rose, kindly offered by its author, the multimedia artist Marco Bolognesi.
The award was presented by Paolo Giovanni Del Nero, Councillor for Economic Development, Training and Labour for Milan Province, in the presence of Claudio Martino, Director of Culture Area of Milan Province.
